J.D. Edwards Canada Reinforces Market Leadership With Appointment of Robert Beauchemin as Vice President & General Manager of Canada Operations
TORONTO, Canada, June 17, 1999 — Enterprise business software provider J.D. Edwards & Comapny (NASDAQ: JDEC) today announced the appointment of Robert Beauchemin as Vice President and General Manager of its Canada operations, effective immediately. Mr. Beauchemin replaces Gerry Bleau who has been appointed Vice President and General Manager of J.D. Edwards’ Numetrix operations following J.D. Edwards’ recently completed acquisition of this Toronto-based provider of Internet-enabled supply chain planning software.
As Vice President and General Manager Beauchemin will be responsible for setting strategic direction, managing operations, maintaining corporate culture and building and strengthening the company’s position as a leader in the competitive enterprise business and supply chain software markets. He will report to Daniel Snyder, J.D. Edwards’ Senior Vice President-The Americas.
"Robert brings a wealth of experience in information technology and, more specifically, the enterprise software industry to J.D. Edwards Canada," Snyder said. A former President of SAP Canada Robert has held several management and sales management positions for a variety of high technology companies.
Demonstrating his personal commitment to "make Canada a better country by helping make Canadian organizations better," Robert is active in a number of industry associations and sits on the boards of two burgeoning software firms.
