Mr. Robert G. Beauchemin joins SIRIT's Board of Directors
Toronto, ON – May 1, 2007 – Sirit Inc. (“Sirit”) (TSX: SI), a leading provider of radio frequency identification (“RFID”) technology, today reported the election of a new Director to the Company's Board at the Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) as held on Thursday, April 26, 2007.
The Company is pleased to welcome Mr. Robert G. Beauchemin, who brings over 20 years of leadership expertise to both Sirit and its Board. Since 2005, Mr. Beauchemin has been the Chief Executive at RGB Global Management Consulting, a firm providing senior management advisory services to Boards of Directors, Presidents and Chief Executive Officers. Previously, Mr. Beauchemin was President and Chief Executive of Polyplan Technologies, a Manufacturing Process Management (MPM) software developer. Mr. Beauchemin has also held senior leadership positions including President and CEO of CNC Global - a North American Information Technology contract consulting and staffing company, Vice-President and General Manager of J.D. Edwards as well as President of SAP Canada – both global leaders in enterprise application software. During the AGM, shareholders elected seven directors to the Company's Board, now comprised of Norbert Dawalibi, Cal Haverstock, Howard Johnson, George C. McKinnis, Art Mesher, Richard I. Segal and Robert G. Beauchemin.
