Polyplan Technologies Signs an Agreement with Siemens I&S for its cMPM™ Solution
MONTREAL, Canada, CLEVELAND, Ohio and MUNICH, Germany, March 1, 2005- Polyplan Technologies announced a distribution agreement with Siemens Group Industrial Solutions and Services (I&S) to integrate Polyplan’s cMPM™ solution into its manufacturing execution systems (MES) portfolio to better serve global clients looking to close the information gap between design and manufacturing. By integrating CAD/PDM with ERP over Polyplan’s cMPM solution, Siemens I&S will be able to streamline the design-to-production process for complex engineered-to-order manufacturers.
The Polyplan cMPM™ solution provides leading manufacturers of complex engineered-to-order products with a 3D-centric manufacturing process design workbench that seamlessly bridges the gap between manufacturing and engineering systems. The solution fosters concurrent engineering and real-time collaboration between manufacturing process design and product design, systematically driving the manufacturability of product designs, assessing and controlling the impact of changes down to the shop floor, and reducing production ramp-up time and costs.
Siemens I&S, a worldwide solution and service provider for industry, will use the Polyplan cMPM™ solution to improve the infrastructure and competitiveness of its customers.
